Where To? is a popular location finder app that helps users discover interesting new places based on their search criteria. Users can avail the range of services offered by this app from their iPhone devices as well as their Apple Watches. Now, with the integration of micromobility services, users can find locations based on their search categories and reach these new places without the hassle of having to figure out transportation details.
With increasing concern about the carbon emissions caused by vehicles, micromobility has been steadily rising in popularity as an alternative option for the environmentally conscious. The integration of these services by Where To? comes as a step forward towards a greener future. Users can now select from a wide range of shared bikes, scooters, and e-mopeds directly from the bike directions screen on the popular location finder app.
The latest version of Where To? version 12, supports over 120 bike and scooter providers across the world. The service is available in more than 700+ cities in 47 countries globally. Users can simply choose any provider from the wide list of options, ranging from Bird to Tier to nextbike, in order to see the nearby vehicles and return location on the map. The nearest bike or scooter is automatically selected. Users can even adjust the vehicle according to their needs. The app calculates the complete route, which consists of walking and riding parts, along with an estimate of the total duration.
Micromobility services like electric bikes and scooters offer convenient solutions to users. If the range is too short for the trip planned, the battery range of electric vehicles is displayed and marked in red. The station-based systems indicate the number of available bikes or free docks per station. In the case of bigger shopping tours, the app also integrates the options of cargo bicycles and e-mopeds. It is extremely convenient to book the bike or scooter service via the Where To? app. With a single tap, the third-party micromobility app gets launched or installed.
The CEO of FutureTap, Ortwin Gentz, was asked to comment on Where To? introducing this new service.
Shared bikes and scooters are a great way to get hassle- and emission-free from A to B. With so many providers on the market, it just can be a bit overwhelming to select the right service – especially when you’re out of your home town. Where To? now makes it super-convenient to hop on the next scooter or bike – no matter which brand.
The latest version of Where To? even offers support for the “Bike Citizens” app for bicycle directions and tracking.
