Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg will again team up on the big screen.
Paramount Pictures announced Wednesday the actors will star in “Daddy’s Home,” which will start shooting later this year. Sean Anders (“Horrible Bosses II”) will direct a screenplay written by Brian Burns (“Entourage”).
As you know — probably — the pair teamed up for the successful “The Other Guys” in 2010.
“Will and Mark are the absolute perfect on-screen duo to take on this hilarious project. With Anders at the helm, and our partners Red Granite onboard, we are thrilled this movie is getting underway,” Paramount President Adam Goodman said in a statement.
So it’s a comedy, then?
“Daddy’s Home” follows a mild-mannered radio executive (Ferrell) striving to become the best stepdad to his wife’s two children. Complications — and, no doubt, hilarity — ensues when their freeloading biological father (Wahlberg) arrives, forcing him to compete for the affection of the kids.”
Sounds pretty zany.
No word on the target date for “Daddy’s Home” to be in theaters.
