Walnut Creek Police Reports — A Stewart Avenue home ransacked (Oct. 23, night), and a Mallard Drive home ransacked (Oct. 23, day); several vehicles reported stolen; and the word is ‘Debt’

The following excerpts were taken from the Walnut Creek police log:

Saturday, oct. 18

  • vandalism: A green Jeep Wrangler was keyed while parked in the 2000 block of Cael Lane at 1:46 p.m.
  • burglary: Overnight someone kicked in the door to suite in the 2800 block of Mitchell Drive and took a computer, safe and miscellaneous other items.
  • burglary: Two white males smashed the window of a white mini van parked in the 2200 block of Oak Grove Road at 8:09 p.m. and stole a backpack, money, keys and personal documents.
  • burglary: Between 4 and 8:45 p.m. someone smashed the rear driver’s side window of a car in the 600 block of South Broadway and took $125 worth of football gear.
  • burglary: Between 2 and 9 p.m. in the 100 block of Sharene Lane someone broke the passenger front window of a blue Volvo and took a blue CD case.

    Sunday, oct. 19

  • burglary: Someone broke the back passenger side window of a blue Toyota parked in the 3600 block of Annandale Court at 8:28 a.m. They took clothing, including a navy blue NorCal Ambulance Jacket.
  • vandalism: It was reported at 11:26 a.m. that the side mirror of a blue BMW 650 was broken off while the car was parked in the 100 block of Sierra Drive.
  • auto theft: Between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. someone took a black 2008 Honda CRV while it was parked in the 100 block of Northcreek Circle.

    Monday, oct. 20

  • theft: A silver Marin mountain bike was taken overnight from the 500 block of North Civic Drive.
  • burglary: Cash and merchandise were taken from the a building in the 1700 block of Heather Drive on Oct. 15 and 19.
  • auto theft: A 1985 Toyota Pickup was stolen from the 2300 block of Westcliffe Lane sometime over the last few days.
  • auto theft: A blue 1992 Acura Integra was stolen from Marriott Overflow lot between 3:30 and 11:30 p.m.
  • auto theft: A gray Acura Integra Hatchback was taken from the third floor of a garage in the 1200 block of Locust Street between 4 and 9 p.m.

    Tuesday, oct. 21

  • theft: A Samsung X5 cell phone was taken sometime between 2 and 6 a.m. in the 1400 block of Ygnacio Valley Road.
  • vandalism: It was reported at 9:23 a.m. that “Debt” was spray painted on the side fence of Cal Trans storage yard in the 2500 block of North Main Street.
  • burglary: Overnight someone picked a lock on a 2000 Honda parked at Pimlico Drive and Jones Road and took a charger and flashlight.
  • burglary: The lock was picked on a 1991 Honda Accord while it was parked in the 1200 block of Locust Street between 9 p.m. and 1 a.m. Gray and white Jordans (shoes) and a remote control were taken.

    Wednesday, oct. 22

  • burglary: Between 7:30 and 7:40 a.m. the rear window of a white Volkswagen Passat was smashed while parked in the parking lot in the 2900 block of North Main Street. A HP Laptop, iPad and backpack were taken.
  • burglary: Binoculars were taken from a red 2000 Windstar van overnight while it was parked in the 600 block of Preakness Court. The passenger side window was smashed.
  • vandalism: Someone keyed both sides of a black Ford Explorer yesterday between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. while it was parked in the 800 block of Hutchinson Road.
  • burglary: A purse and sunglasses were taken from a Jeep Grand Cherokee overnight while it was parked in the 1900 block of Alvarado Avenue.

    Thursday, oct. 23

  • theft: A blue Trek road bike was taken from a bike rack in the 2800 block of Mitchel drive between 7:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m.
  • burglary: The back window of a house in the 2300 block of Stewart Avenue was smashed and the house ransacked overnight. Two handguns and jewelry were missing.
  • vandalism: A residence was broken into in the 200 block of Mallard Drive and ransacked between 11:52 a.m. and 3:52 p.m. Cameras, microphones, jewelry, checkbooks and cash were taken.
  • burglary: It was reported at 6:30 p.m. that a computer was stolen from a residence in the 3100 block of McNutt Avenue through an open window.

    Friday, oct. 24

  • theft: Two Cannondale men’s mountain bikes were taken from an open garage in the 1800 block of Second Avenue overnight.
  • auto theft: A yellow and white Suzuki Motorcycle was stolen from a lot in the 200 block of Masters Court overnight.
  • burglary: Two laptops were taken from a residence in the 1300 block of Creekside Drive between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
  • burglary: The window of a black Ford Fusion was smashed between 10 and 11:30 p.m. while parked in the 1800 block of North Broadway. A red canvas bag, maroon makeup bag and bejeweled iPhone case were taken.
