Tri-Valley Classic soccer this weekend

The girls soccer season heats up with the Tri-Valley Classic, which starts Thursday and finishes on Saturday. Monte Vista’s Maddie Gibson, shown in a January 2014 match with San Ramon Valley’s Jessika Martinez, is back this season. Both the Mustangs and Wolves are in action Dec. 18 at the Mustang Soccer Complex, with Monte Vista facing Liberty and San Ramon Valley playing Bishop O’Dowd, both at 7 p.m. At 5:45 p.m., Freedom meets Miramonte and Archbishop Mitty plays Livermore. There are 17 matches set for Dec. 19 and 19 on Dec. 20, with some matches also at Diablo Vista Park MTV.
