Hobart Heights and Woodside roads, Nov. 18 Mail boxes were pried open and emptied.

2000 block of Ward Way, 4:30 p.m. Nov. 18 A woman told her grandson was in a car accident in Mexico and needed $3,000 to pay for damages found out after sending the money that he was not in Mexico.

4000 block of Woodside Road, 5:59 p.m. Nov. 25 A female who left her vehicle unlocked and purse on the passenger seat while she went for a walk in Wunderlich Park reported her wallet missing when she returned. The estimated loss was $225.

CAMPBELL

400 block of Kuehnis Drive, midnight-9:20 a.m. Friday Tires on a mini van were slashed.

1300 block of West Campbell Avenue, 7:21 p.m. Saturday A rock was thrown through a window.

BURLINGAME

1100 block of Trousdale Drive, 3:46 p.m. Sunday Police responded to a care facility on a report of a patient attacking another with back scratcher. The claim was determined to be unfounded.

LOS GATOS

Cherry Blossom Lane and Cherrystone Drive, 5:45 p.m. Nov. 27 Police arrested a 43-year-old man for vandalism and felony assault with a deadly weapon.

Los Gatos Boulevard, 5:50 a.m. Friday A vehicle was stolen.

Lilac Lane, noon Saturday A residential burglary occurred.

900 block of Embarcadero Road, 1:50 p.m. Nov. 24 Items were reported stolen from a residence.

700 block of Chimalus Drive, 10 a.m. Nov. 26 Felony vandalism to a vehicle was reported.

520 Sand Hill Road, 2:55 p.m. Friday Police arrested a 26-year-old Sacramento man at Ronald McDonald House for disturbing the peace.

650 Addison Ave., 7:04 a.m. Friday Addison Elementary School was vandalized.

180 El Camino Real, 4:21 p.m. Saturday A 29-year-old man accused of strong-arm robbery was arrested at Stanford Shopping Center.

2700 block of Cowper St., 3:12 p.m. Sunday A residence was burglarized.

Catamaran Street, Nov. 26 A box truck with graffiti on the side was stolen overnight.

1030 E. Hillsdale Blvd., 12:28 p.m. Nov. 26 A man received a call from a scammer asking for money to get his grandson out of jail.

Edgewater Boulevard, 1:20 p.m. Nov. 26 A caller attempted a PG&E scam on a person who knew better and notified police.

Foster City Boulevard, 3:22 p.m. Nov. 26 A female brought treats to the dog park, which a husky snatched out of her hand. She then got upset when the dog’s owner admonished her, was contacted and advised of park rules.

Peary Lane, 1:32 p.m. Nov. 27 A Dell computer delivered Nov. 17 was reported stolen from a doorstep.

921 E. Hillsdale Blvd., 12:24 p.m. Friday A male reported being tricked into giving $1,700 to a person who said there was a problem with his immigration status.

Beach Park and Foster City boulevards, 2 p.m. Friday A red Ferrari driver was reported to be using Beach Park Boulevard as a personal race track.

FREMONT

Unnamed location, 12:10 p.m. Nov. 22 Police caught up with an intoxicated hit-and-run driver, a man who hit two parked vehicles, rear-ended a motorist on Niles Boulevard near Linda Drive and then ran a stop sign in Union City.

900 block of Sumac Way, Nov. 26 A residence was burglarized by someone who kicked in the front door.

39925 Mission Blvd., Nov. 27 Two males manipulated a pump at Valero gas and got away with 317 gallons of diesel fuel.

44009 Osgood Road, 12:29 p.m. Friday A female who left Walmart with stolen items was cited for burglary after police spotted her vehicle in Hayward.

39600 block of Leslie Street, Sunday A white 1993 Toyota (4ZDN823) was stolen.

37100 block of Dutra Way, Sunday A white 1992 Ford F-350 flatbed truck (2875L1) was stolen.

40580 Albrae St., early Monday A Walmart employee’s 1994 Honda Accord (6HMJ077) was stolen while she was working.

400 block of Wessex Way, 3:20 p.m. Nov. 26 Two men detained a 29-year-old man who tried to rob them at knifepoint until police arrived and arrested him.

Carlmont Drive, 6:05 p.m. Friday Police assisted a man who said he was severely depressed and in need of resources.

Madrid Avenue, 1 p.m. Friday After entertaining numerous holiday guests at his residence, a man reported his $10,000 watch missing from a drawer.

HALF MOON BAY

Ocean and Valdez avenues, 11:18 a.m. Saturday A 44-year-old man on probation was camping when contacted and arrested for possession of a sawed-off shotgun and ammunition.

Martins Beach Road, 4:22 a.m. Sunday An officer checking on a 22-year-old woman sleeping in a vehicle arrested her after finding out the vehicle was stolen, that she had drug paraphernalia and also an ID and credit card belonging to other people in her possession.

Menalto Avenue and O’Keefe Street, 5:20 p.m. Friday An armed robbery attempt was reported.

1400 block of Valparaiso Avenue, 9:44 a.m. Saturday Antique guns were reported missing.

35360 Fircrest St., 8:29 a.m. Saturday Miscellaneous household items were stolen from a unit at Public Storage.

36120 Ruschin Drive, 3 p.m. Saturday Morning Star Church inside Ruschin Elementary School was burglarized. Various electronic items were taken.
