Holiday wonder
More than 3,500 people turned out for the Pleasant Hill Recreation and Park District’s annual Holiday Festival on Dec. 10, at the Pleasant Hill Community Center, where there was entertainment and festivities for all ages. From stopping to see Santa and Mrs. Claus, to live music and dance performances, and a “Frozen” kingdom, it was a sea of smiles. At the event, sponsored by Republic Services, families flocked to Sven’s Domestic Friends Petting Zoo for the little ones to see and touch rabbits, chickens and goats; children gazed in wonder at the Talking Christmas Tree; and visited with Queen Elsa — the Snow Queen — from Disney’s “Frozen.”
