Hornets take third at TOC

Alameda High School golfer Melissa Yao putts from the fringe as she participates in the North Coast Section Division I Girls Golf Tournament of Champions at Tilden Park Golf Course in Berkeley on Nov. 3. Yao’s score of seven-over 78 led the Hornets to a third-place team finish with a score of 412 and a spot in the CIF Northern California Regional tournament on Nov. 10 in Salinas. Alameda’s other scorers were Elizabeth Scholes (80), Andrea Leung (81), Kenness Chung (85) and Monique Jimenez (88).
