Martinez police log: Multiple reports of stolen vehicles

The following excerpts are from the Martinez police log:

THURSDAY, DEC. 4

  • VEHICLE THEFT — At 12:12 a.m., a vehicle was stolen in front of a residence on Castro Street.
  • VEHICLE THEFT — Vehicles were reported stolen on Sterling Drive at 6:23 a.m.; at 6:31 a.m. on Marina Vista; and at 8:13 a.m. on Maywood Lane.
  • FRAUD — A caller from Alhambra Avenue reported at 10:39 a.m. sending $375 for what turned out to be a fraudulent telephone request.
  • VEHICLE THEFT — It was reported at 1:10 p.m. that a vehicle was stolen from Arnold Drive.
  • VEHICLE THEFT — On Fig Lane at 3:35 p.m., a vehicle was reported stolen.

    FRIDAY, DEC. 5

  • VEHICLE THEFT — It was reported at 8:18 a.m. that a vehicle was stolen from Starflower Drive.
  • BURGLARY — At 10:33 a.m., a wallet, pistol, two watches, rare coins, identification and bank cards were reported stolen from a residence on Orleans Drive.
  • GRAND THEFT — It was reported at 11:26 a.m. that audio equipment worth $50,000 was stolen from a residence on Alhambra Avenue.
  • VEHICLE THEFT — At 1:31 p.m., a vehicle was reported stolen from Muir Station Road.
  • VANDALISM — The window of a vehicle on Mill Road was reported broken at 2:46 p.m.

    SATURDAY, DEC. 6

  • FRAUD — On Brown Street, it was reported at 9:53 a.m. that a fraudulent account was opened with charges totaling $367.
  • PETTY THEFT — At 4:33 p.m., a 29-year-old-man was arrested on suspicion of theft of a BB gun, stereo, and speakers at a business on Arnold Drive.
  • VEHICLE THEFT — It was reported at 6:51 p.m. that a vehicle was stolen from Morello Heights Drive.

    SUNDAY, DEC. 7

  • VANDALISM — It was reported at 9:54 a.m. that the rear window of a vehicle on Maywood Lane was smashed.
  • VANDALISM — At 10:56 a.m., mailboxes were reported vandalized at Eastgate Lane and on Arnold Drive.
  • VEHICLE THEFT — A vehicle was reported stolen at 11:16 a.m. from Degnan Drive.

    MONDAY, DEC. 8

  • PETTY THEFT — At 9:46 a.m., a caller reported that medication was stolen from a backpack on Tarantino Drive.
  • FRAUD — It was reported at 11:50 a.m. that a business account on Ferry Street was compromised.
  • BURGLARY — At 12:57 p.m., it was reported that a truck was broken into on Sundance Place.
  • GRAND THEFT — It was reported at 4:12 p.m. that merchandise valued at $1,000 was stolen from a Ferry Street business.
  • PETTY THEFT — Vehicle registration documents and a registration tab were taken from an unlocked vehicle on Village Oaks Drive at 6:37 p.m.
  • VEHICLE THEFT — Vehicles were reported stolen from Country Run Drive at 9:08 p.m.; and at 9:18 p.m. at Marina Vista and Ferry Street.
  • FRAUD — At 11:11 p.m., a counterfeit $100 bill was passed at a business on Arnold Drive.

    TUESDAY, DEC. 9

  • DUI — A 26-year-old-man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence at 12:02 a.m. on Arnold Drive.
  • BURGLARY — At 8:07 a.m., a garage door opener was reported taken from an unlocked vehicle on Midhill Road.
  • BURGLARY — On Hull Lane at 9:08 a.m., it was reported that the lock of a vehicle was drilled out and a stereo was stolen and the dashboard was damaged.
  • BURGLARY — At 4:22 p.m., a vehicle was reported burglarized on Center Avenue.

    WEDNESDAY, DEC. 10

  • ROBBERY — At North Court Street and Tarantino Drive, a caller reported at 12:39 a.m. being shoved against his vehicle by man who stole his backpack containing a laptop and birth certificate.
  • VEHICLE THEFT — A 26-year-old-man and a 35-year-old-man were arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft at 5:31 a.m. on Farm Lane.
  • DUI — A 60-year-old woman was arrested at 11:45 a.m. on suspicion of driving under the influence at Pacheco Boulevard and Elm Street.
  • FRAUD — A caller on Thomas Drive reported identity theft at 3:23 p.m., and that items were fraudulently purchased in the caller’s name.
  • BURGLARY — At 6:16 p.m., it was reported that a residence on Pine Street was burglarized.
