Iggy Azalea brings Great Escape Tour to Oakland

Posted on December 15, 2014

Iggy Azalea is bringing The Great Escape Tour to Oakland. The Grammy-nominated hip-hop star performs April 17 at Oracle Arena.

Tickets are $37.62-$54.76 and go on sale at 9 a.m. Dec. 19, www.ticketmaster.com. American Express card members have access to a presale, which runs 9 a.m. Dec. 15 to 9 p.m. Dec. 18.

Azalea’s The Great Escape Tour kicks off April 14 in Fresno and runs through a May 24 date in Austin, Texas. Nick Jonas is a special guest on the tour. The support acts are Tinashe and DJ Wizz Kidd.

Azalea has been one of the year’s big breakout artists. Her debut album, “The New Classic,” topped both the R&B/Hip-Hop and Rap Album charts. She also scored one of 2014’s biggest singles — “Fancy” — and was featured on Ariana Grande’s multiplatinum tune “Problem.”

Azalea is nominated in four categories at the 2015 Grammy Awards — best new artist, best rap album, record of the year and best pop duo/group performance.
