East Contra Costa Letters to the Editor: Thanks to supporters

Posted on November 18, 2014

Thanks supporters

Dear Editor:

The final vote has been counted. It is a shame that one of our fundamental rights as U.S. citizens was not exercised by so many people.

In my race for re-election to the Contra Costa County Board of Education (area 4) I was defeated by Mike Maxwell. He seems a solid citizen and I wish him well. He ran a clean race.

If nothing else, this particular race, which saw all three trusteeships challenged, gave the public a better insight into the function of the County School Board.

I thank those who supported me.

Richard Asadoorian

Letters policy

Let your East County neighbors know what you think about issues of the day by writing a letter to the editor.

Send letters to [email protected] or fax them to 925-779-7105. Letters should be signed. Both letters and email should include the daytime phone number and address of the writer. The information will not be printed but rather used for verification purposes.

We reserve the right to edit or not publish letters deemed potentially libelous, that are ads for local businesses or are otherwise unsuitable for a family newspaper. Also, we are looking for guest commentaries. Please send to [email protected].
