A former Fullerton Joint Union High School District school psychologist has pleaded no contest to having sex with a 17-year-old student in a classroom at La Habra High School, where she was assigned, and was immediately sentenced to 20 days in jail.
However, Kristin Lynn Boyle, 37, of Lake Forest, may avoid time behind bars by completing 18 days of community service by April 29, according to court records. She will be on informal probation for a year.
“My client took responsibility for her actions and is ready to move forward with her life and is ready to put this behind her,” Boyle’s attorney, Ed Welbourn said.
Boyle accepted a plea deal from Orange County Superior Court Judge Thomas Lo. Orange County prosecutors objected to the plea deal, in which she pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor count of unlawful sexual intercourse.
Boyle had sex with the boy in a La Habra High classroom on April 12, 2018, according to prosecutors.
