90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Season 3 teases that Corey Rathgeber comes clean to his fiancée Evelin Villegas about his fling in Peru. While he claims they were broken up, she says they were merely on a “break.” Evelin is saying that Corey should have been trying to win her back, not going off and cheating on her. Fans, however, haven’t forgotten what Corey brought to light back in season 1 regarding Evelin’s infidelity.
Evelin found out about Corey’s fling with Jenny during his trip to Peru
Evelin told Corey that she wasn’t ready to marry him in the previous 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season. In a sneak peek clip, Corey claims that she broke up with him. With Evelin saying that it was merely a break in the relationship. After the breakup, Corey went to Peru for a change of scenery. He stayed in Peru for around a month, enjoying the food and the surfing. That’s where he met a woman named Jenny.
When the month was over, he headed back to Ecuador to pick up what he left at Evelin’s house. He was planning on just getting his stuff and moving on, but that’s when the Ecuadorian government implemented the coronavirus (COVID-19) quarantine in Ecuador. He and Evelin were stuck, trying to make the best of the situation, and decided to get back together. But things got worse when Evelin found out through a mutual friend that Corey had been dating Jenny when there were on a break. Corey told her that the fling only lasted 4 days, nothing more. But after Evelin put some pressure on him, he admitted to Evelin that there was “more to the story” regarding Jenny.
’90 Day Fiancé’ fans are calling out Evelin for being hypocritical about cheating
After 90 Day Fiancé posted the clip, 90 Day Fiancé fans rushed to the comments, frustrated by Evelin and calling her out on her hypocrisy. Of course, audiences remember that Evelin had slept with her ex while she was supposedly on a “break” with Corey years before.
One fan commented on the Instagram clip, “Oh please, Evelyn has gone on a few ‘Breaks’ and has hung out with other men. Or did she forget???” Another Instagram user wrote, “Oh, she don’t like it when the boots are in the other foot!” More and more people were calling out Evelin for not treating Corey right from the start of the relationship. Many fans are wishing Corey would leave and be done with her games.
Evelin hooked up with guys during her and Corey’s previous ‘break’
Evelin owned up to the cheating back in season 1 when Corey brought it up in front of the cameras. This caused a major rift between the couple. During an Instagram live back in October in 2019 (via Reality TV World), she said to her fans, “[Corey] embarrassed himself, and me, publicly when he brought up the cheating scandal [on the TV show]. That happened so long ago, we passed through it. It was on a break-up that we had.”
She admitted that she messed up on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way and during the Instagram Live. Evelin said, “For the people that say, ‘Oh, she cheated on Corey’ and all that stuff. Like, yeah, I hooked up with my ex [but] that was three years ago now and when Corey and I were not together. It was a mistake, I apologized for it, and I always felt bad.”
