The Bold and the Beautiful has always had a rotating cast coming in and out of Los Angeles. Obviously, the big casting news came when Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) got added back to the canvas. But now, more characters are riding into the frame — including a Real Housewife. Let’s take a look at this week’s comings and goings.
Denise Richards joins ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’
Actress-turned-Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Denise Richards will be joining the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful.
It was a bit shocking, perhaps, for fans of the Bravo reality show to see one of their favorite Housewives on a beloved soap. But as Richards’ IMDb page reminds us, she was a well-known actor before she became a reality star. In addition to her roles in such films as 30 Rock and Spin City, Richards was a “Bond girl” in The World is Not Enough.
Richards, however, will be playing a fan-favorite character — and reportedly, her role begins this week.
Richards will be playing Shauna Fulton
In 2019, Richards originated the role of Shauna Fulton (later Shauna Fulton Forrester) on The Bold and the Beautiful. At the time, SoapHub named her the best fictional bestie of all time.
“Shauna (Denise Richards) takes the phrase, “I’ll be there for you,” to new heights. Having been besties with Quinn (Rena Sofer) for decades, she’s loyal and true. She stands by Quinn’s side through thick and thin. She’s got her back in good times, bad times, and, above all, absurd times. When others would run, Shauna stays and goes to battle for her pal,” they wrote.
And it looks like Shauna’s return to The Bold and the Beautiful will feature more ride-or-die behavior on behalf of Quinn. Of course, Quinn is in quite a bit of a mess thanks to the Eric and Carter situations. So, Shauna will definitely be walking into a bit of a hornet’s nest. How is she going to help her bestie out of this mess?
A famous model will also be joining the cast
Another exciting addition to The Bold and the Beautiful cast is Emma Smith.
Smith, who is best known for her campaigns with Maxim Magazine, will be featured on the show on September 1st. She’ll be playing a model named Charlene. Charlene will be a model for Forrester Creations, though it’s unclear if Smith’s character is a recurring character or a one-time guest appearance. But it clearly didn’t take much research on Smith’s part.
Smith has a huge following on TikTok and Instagram, and is represented by Axle Management.
