The ensemble cast of Succession Season 3 returns to HBO for an intense new season in October 2021. It’s no surprise that Logan Roy (Brian Cox) and his four children return to the HBO series. Who returns to the cast for ‘Succession’ Season 3?
After watching the Succession Season 3 trailer, it’s apparent that Logan wants to destroy his son, Kendall (Jeremy Strong). His siblings are again disappointed that he tried to take down his father. However, Kendall tells Shiv (Sarah Snook), Connor (Alan Ruck), and Roman (Kieran Culkin) their father is out for blood and would sell out any one of them if he had to. After Kendall threw his father under the bus at the press conference in the Succession Season 2 finale, it looks like a family civil war is coming. Who else returns for the festivities?
Of course, Matthew Macfayden returns as Tom Wambsgans, Shiv’s husband and loyal servant to Logan and Waystar. Nicholas Braun reprises his role as “Greg the Egg” and continues to question Tom and Logan’s actions.

Roman wouldn’t be near as fun if it weren’t for his strange sexual tension with Gerri Kellman, so J. Smith-Cameron returns as well. The youngest Roy son also continues to belittle Peter Friedman’s character, Frank Vernon. Arian Moayed returns to the Succession Season 3 cast as Stewy Hosseini. HBO gave three actors an upgrade from recurring cast to series regular; Justine Lupe, who portrays Connor’s girlfriend, Willa, David Rasche as Karl Muller, and Fisher Stevens as Hugo Baker. Dagmara Domińczyk also returns as Karolina Novotney, the head of PR for Waystar.
Newcomers to the cast
In addition to the numerous returning cast members, Succession Season 3 adds eight new faces. Sanaa Lathan portrays Lisa Arthur, a high-profile New York lawyer who seems to be working for Logan. Linda Emond joins the Succession Season 3 cast as senior White House aide Michelle-Anne Vanderhoven. Meanwhile, Jihae Kim plays Berry Schneider, who is a leading public relations consultant. Both sides need some help in the public relations area at this point. So Dash Nekrasova was also added as Comfry, a crisis PR representative.
Another recent addition to the season 3 cast included Hope Davis as Sandy’s daughter, also named Sandi, slightly changing the letters of her name. Adrien Brody also joins the cast as billionaire activist investor Josh Aaronson. He somehow becomes involved in the ownership of Waystar. Another CEO and tech founder, Lukas Matsson (Alexander Skarsgard), is also probably vying for some piece of the company. Lastly, according to Variety, the latest addition was a guest star, Ella Rumpf. However, the role she plays is still under wraps at this point.
When does season 3 of ‘Succession’ start?
The ensemble cast of Succession returns to HBO for season 3 sometime in October 2021.
Social media accounts for the TV series shared a photo of Logan Roy gazing angrily out the window on Aug. 23. The only caption to the image was the word “October.” However, no specific date was readily available.
Succession Seasons 1 and 2 are currently available for streaming on HBO Max.
