Eboni K. Williams is one of the stars of The Real Housewives of New York City that will soon be a guest co-host on The View. The reality TV personality is one of many guest co-hosts that will take a seat on the popular ABC talk show in hopes of landing a permanent spot left open by Meghan McCain. Williams has been a political commentator on Fox News and has dished that she would be excited to become a full-time co-host.
Eboni K. Williams to sit at the ‘Hot Topics’ table
After her first year as a RHONY star, Williams will have the opportunity to sit at the “Hot Topics” table on The View as a guest co-host. The long-running ABC talk show is taking its time to fill the seat left behind by Meghan McCain in the conservative role.
“Continuing the mission of dynamic conversations with diverse points of view, The View is taking a little time to fill the co-host seat vacant since Meghan McCain’s departure at the end of season 24,” read the press release issued by the alphabet network. “Throughout the season, the show will welcome conservative voices to guest co-host starting with former Utah congresswoman Mia Love premiere week.”
Other stars that are in contention for the role include Southern Charm alum Cameran Eubanks, Condoleezza Rice, S.E. Cupp, Carly Fiorina, Eboni K. Williams, Mary Katharine Ham, Alyssa Farah, and Gretchen Carlson.
Williams will bring her political commentary background to the table as she has contributed to Fox News in the past. The Bravo star will join official cast members Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, and Sara Haines.

Williams made an appearance on The View earlier this year and had a great experience on the show. She then made an appearance on the podcast called Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef where she was asked if she would like to co-host if they gave her the opportunity.
“I guess the short answer is, that would be something I would be extremely excited to have a conversation about because the topics on there are so important,” she said. “The ability to sit with one another’s perspectives without sitting to respond, but sitting to listen, going back to that skill, we learn in law school, the ability to listen and not just only be stuck in your argument, but be open to just some level of fluidity in your thinking in your unconscious bias.”
The Bravo star said that having a platform like The View “could be very interesting” as they would bring “pretty unique opportunities.”

Eboni K. Williams and the ‘RHONY’ ratings drop
The ratings for RHONY Season 13 have dropped and they coincided with Williams joining the show. Some fans have pointed to Williams making the show political as the reason the ratings declined but that’s not a narrative the political commentator agrees with.
“From my experience in television, any expectation to carry ratings around a program will go to the veteran talent,” she told Insider in an interview recently. “So I think it’s nonsense to correlate the ratings performance of a 13-year series to a freshman talent. I just don’t buy it.”
Williams argues that the audience has changed viewing patterns and doesn’t watch as they used to.
RHONY airs Tuesday nights at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo and The View Season 25 premieres on September 7 at 11 a.m. ET and 10 a.m. PT/CT on ABC.
