Power Universe fans should be thrilled. Power Book III: Raising Kanan is returning this week with a brand new episode, Power Book II: Ghost Season 2 is set to debut this coming November, and Power Book IV: Force is set to premiere in January 2022.

Fans are very much anticipating the Joseph Sikora-led Force which will chronicle the life of Tommy Egan following the death of his best friend, James “Ghost” St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick). Now, Power Universe executive producer Curtis “50 Cent,” Jackson says Power Book IV: Force is raising the bar.

Joseph Sikora gave fans a major update on ‘Power Book IV: Force’

Though fans have been sinking their teeth into Power Book II: Ghost and Power Book III: Raising Kanan, OG Power fans have been desperate to see Tommy on their screens again. Now, Sikora has given fans an update about the highly anticipated Power Book IV: Force.

Sikora shared a photo on Instagram announcing that the first season of Force has officially wrapped as of August 2021. The entire crew had been hard at work in Chicago since January. “Winners only. POWER Book 4! That’s a wrap! @50cent @tommyflanaganofficial,” the actor shared.

“Tommy was the most honest character on Power, so I think this comes back to the roots of Tommy,” Sikora told Entertainment Weekly. “Now that he’s an empty shell, what are the qualities of Tommy that keep him going? Well, he’s kind of already told us on Power, and now we get to watch that. It’s almost like watching a flashback in the future, in some ways. Because what we’re doing is we’re seeing how Tommy became Tommy — but after he lost everything.”

Now that Power Book IV: Force has wrapped and is in post-production, 50 Cent is boasting that fans won’t know how to handle it when they see Tommy in action again. 50 Cent shared a photo of himself with Sons of Anarchy alum Tommy Flannagan captioning the photo, “POWER Book IV FORCE is wrapped, expect me to keep raising the bar. TOMMY ! Green Light Gang #bransoncognac#lecheminduroi” Flannagan stars as Walter Flynn, the head of the Irish crime family in Chicago.

For Sikora’s part, it’s all about the fans. “It’s really f—ing good,” Sikora told Entertainment Weekly. “People are going to love it.” He added that it’s going to be interesting to see Tommy navigate everything on his own for the first time. “I think that it’s going to take all facets of Tommy that we’ve built up to until now to not only survive but to potentially thrive — and to potentially leave. You don’t know if it’s going to be one city and then another city and if he’s going to keep bopping or what connections need to be made.”

As much as Tommy was able to move and navigate the drug world in New York, Chicago is a whole different beast for the drug kingpin, especially since he no longer has Ghost by his side. Sikora has revealed that racial history and tension in the Windy City was something that Tommy was not prepared for.

“The racism of Chicago, the dividedness of Chicago, is foreign to Tommy in a lot of ways, and so I think that is going to be a really interesting topic for us to tackle, the separation of Black and white and Latin people in terms of neighborhoods,” the Chicago-born actor told Entertainment Weekly. “We have these real brilliant homegrown actors who are really showing the diversity and quality of the city of Chicago. I’m really proud of that.”

We will all see how it all pans out for the fan-favorite Power character when Force debuts in early 2022.
