Power Book III: Raising Kanan is set to conclude its first season in just a couple of weeks. The ’90s set coming-of-age story centers on Kanan Stark (Mekai Curtis), a 15-year-old trying to navigate his social life as a teen while integrating himself with his drug queenpin mother, Raquel “Raq” Thomas’ (Patina Miller) drug organization. Raq runs her business with her brothers Marvin (London Brown) and Lou Lou (Malcolm Mays), but she’s desperate to keep her son off the streets.
Though Raq has started to slowly show Kanan the ropes in the drug game, fans are wondering when his real mentor Breeze will make his appearance on Raising Kanan. It may be sooner rather than later.

Breeze is an extremely important character in the ‘Power’ Universe
Considering the expansive timeline of the Power Universe, it’s essential to understand the importance of each character. The illusive Breeze is perhaps one of the most important characters in the franchise. Power fans first learn about Breeze in Power Season 2, when we meet adult Kanan (Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson).
Just a couple of years older than Kanan, we learn that Breeze is the person who teaches Kanan everything he knows about the drug game. Later, we learn that James “Ghost” St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick) shoots Breeze in the back of the head in the mid-1990s when Breeze tries to deny Ghost advancement in his and Kanan’s organization.
Ironically enough, it’s Breeze who gives James the nickname “Ghost.”

‘Power Book III: Raising Kanan’ fans are convinced Breeze will appear in the season finale
As much as fans are loving Raising Kanan, there is a ton of questions about when Breeze will appear in the series. For now, his absence is a major pothole that fans have continued to point out. “They was like Breeze taught him the streets when his mom is a f—— queen pin too so I don’t know what he gains from him in that way honestly,” a Redditor explained via Express. Another added, “This show doesn’t match up with Power Kanan at all. 50 must’ve wanted his character to suddenly be like Riq so here we are. Just gotta ignore everything you heard on Power about his past.”
However, since the Power Universe is known for its explosive season finales, some fans believe that Raising Kanan creator Sascha Penn and his writers are waiting to reveal Breeze in the season finale.

Kanan’s Uncle Marvin could be Breeze in ‘Power Book III: Raising Kanan’
Though many fans are convinced that Breeze will finally show his face in the Power Book III: Raising Kanan Season 1 finale, it’s also possible that we already know who Breeze is. Since the Power Universe is known for its twists and turns — from the person who killed Ghost in the original show to Kanan’s paternity, we think that there are major clues that point toward Kanan’s Uncle Marvin being Breeze.
Brown hinted that Marvin might be more impactful to Kanan’s life than it may seem. “My character basically introduces Kanan into this lifestyle that Power fans know him for,” he told journalist Landon Buford on Instagram. “And the fact that my sister is in charge because I was irresponsible with it when I was in the position. So, that creates a little beef between us and a bit of a power struggle. In the relationship with my daughter [Juke Box], we don’t see eye to eye just on the father-daughter type of thing. So, the only person that my character can use his authoritative energy on is young Kanan.”
As we know, no one takes Marvin seriously, including Raq, Lou Lou, or even his daughter Jukebox (Hailey Kilgore), but for some reason, Kanan is happy to confide in his uncle and ask him for advice. Considering the fact that Marvin also isn’t the world’s greatest thinker, we can see how Ghost could easily outsmart him.
