Actor Nicholas Chavez recently joined the cast of General Hospital as Spencer Cassadine. Although he has only been working on the show for a few months, Chavez is already making friends with some co-stars. He recently revealed that there is one female co-star who he thinks is “great to go out with.”

Chavez has had scenes with many different cast members, and he has become close with some people.
In an interview with Digital Journal, Chavez shared that one person he gets along with really well is Marcus Coloma, who plays his on-screen father, Nikolas Cassadine.
“Marcus and I have become best friends,” Chavez said. “He is so incredible. I really really love that guy. He is so awesome and has given him so much amazing insight. Marcus has taken on the role of a mentor to me and the role of a friend. We really hit it off.”
Chavez also added, “Marcus and I actually play chess all the time. We send each other chess memes on Instagram.”
Additionally, Chavez also has nice things to say about his fellow young actors William Lipton (Cameron Webber), Eden McCoy (Josslyn Jacks), and Sydney Mikayla (Trina Robinson).
“They are all so great and welcoming,” he shared. “We have a really great dynamic, the four of us. We have a great offscreen friendship and that helps the chemistry on-screen. We have a good time. They are all so talented. William is also super-talented with his music, it’s just an amazing crew.”

Another co-star Chavez has gotten the chance to know is Kelly Thiebaud (Britt Westbourne). Britt used to be engaged to Nikolas, and she and Spencer are still close. In real life, Chavez and Thiebaud have been hanging out a lot as well.
“Oh, my God, she’s just a joy,” Chavez said, according to Soap Opera Digest. “I feel myself lighting up just because I’m talking about her. She is so fun and friendly and has a smile and eyes that just light up the room, just like they light up the screen. I can’t speak highly enough of her.”
In fact, Chavez, Thiebaud, and Coloma have even all hung out together.
“Kelly, Marcus and I actually went and saw In The Heights together,” Chavez dished. “It was the first movie I’d seen since the Covid restrictions had kind of eased up a little bit. It was so fun to just bond over—because, you know, we’re all big nerds; we like musicals, we like plays, we like movies—so we just watched in awe of everyone’s performance.”
He added more comments about Thiebaud, “Kelly is just a really great time. She’s so fun and really great to act with and really great to go out with.”

Spencer and Trina was in the middle of developing a relationship recently, but Spencer’s girlfriend, Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl), came back into the picture. However, it seems there is still some lingering chemistry between Spencer and Trina.
As Chavez shared with a soap opera magazine, according to his Twitter, Spencer finds Trina appealing because “she puts him in his place.”
“She’s not afraid to speak her mind,” he said. “Trina is a very direct person. I think he really respects that—and of course, he is just completely charmed by how gorgeous she is.”
