Fans of the series have been known to discuss the series on social media, including on Reddit. On August 30, 2021, a fan made a Reddit post titled, “Underrated friendships.” They continue in the post, “I’ve recently been watching the show from the beginning, and just recently realized how sweet of a friendships Tara and Luke have. I was wondering if anyone else has any other friendship pairings/trios that aren’t typically talked about.”
Fans didn’t hold back, and they shared their opinions in the comments. Answers are all over the place on this one. One fan named SSA Jennifer Jareau or JJ (A.J. Cook) and Technical Analyst Penelope Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness). They were great friends throughout the series, and they truly cared about one another and hung out outside work.

Another fan named Garcia and Aaron “Hotch” Hotcher (Thomas Gibson), who is the Unit Chief of the team for a while. Garcia seems to bring out Hotch’s softer side. A fan recalls a moment between them when they make food together, omelettes to be precise. Another fan also named the duo as well.
“Hotch and Garcia!!!” the fan said. “So underrated. When Hotch stays at the BAU with Garcia and they make omelettes! And Hotch being super lenient with Garcia and her antics.”
A fan loves Lewis and Alvez
Some fans named SSA Luke Alvez (Adam Rodriguez) and Dr. Tara Lewis (Aisha Tyler). They were definitely playful with one another, and it was fun watching them interact together on-screen.

Another fan named Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster), who became Unit Chief, and Garcia. They were definitely friends that cared for one another, and they even hung out outside of work.
“Emily and Penelope that’s all I’m saying! :),” a fan said.
Another fan named ‘JJ and Morgan’
Some fans also named JJ and SSA Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore), who grew closer as time went on in the show. “JJ and Morgan!!!” a fan said. “I really like them. Their friendship developed a lot throughout the series.”
A fan chose ‘Hotch and Reid’
Hotch and Dr. Spencer Reid (Dr. Spencer Reid) also had a closeness and friendship that was always nice to see. They worked well together and even had a first bump moment at one point.

Reid and Garcia were also named together, and they got along well. They even go to a sci-fi convention together, proving their closeness.
