Mick Schumacher will reportedly make his F1 debut with Alfa Romeo Racing in Bahrain at F1’s young drivers’ test scheduled at the Sakhir circuit after the second round of the the 2019 world championship.
The news has yet to be officially confirmed but Germany’s Auto Bild alleges that a deal between the Swiss outfit and the Ferrari junior is as good as done.
Schumacher, who will kickstart his Formula 2 season with Prema next week in Bahrain, is eligible for an F1 Super Licence and therefore would be allowed to test for the Alfa Romeo squad.
The 19-year-old’s anticipated test, should it come to fruition, would be Schumacher’s second run in an F1 car, the young German having conducted a demo run in 2017 at Spa onboard his famous father’s Benetton B194.
