This 1987 Mercedes-Benz 300TD wagon was sold new by Rasmussen Mercedes in Portland, Oregon and re-acquired in September 2020 by the selling dealer after the previous owner purchased it on BaT in April 2017. The car is finished in Smoke Silver Metallic over Creme Beige MB-Tex and powered by a a 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline-six mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes electric windows, central locking, power-adjustable front seats, automatic climate control, and a factory cassette stereo. Service performed between 2017 and 2020 totaled approximately $15k and consisted of an overhaul and reseal of the transmission along with replacement of brake and suspension components, the power steering pump, shifter bushings, fuel delivery valve seals, air conditioning compressor and receiver drier, and more. This W124 shows 145k miles and is offered by the selling dealer with a window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, service records, a clean AutoCheck report, and a clean Oregon title.
The car is finished in Smoke Silver Metallic (702) and features headlight wipers, roof rails, a power antenna, and a rear window wiper. A dent is present below the left taillight along with a corresponding scuff in the rear bumper cover.
Factory 15″ wheels were refinished in 2019 and wear 205/65 Michelin Premier A/S tires that were fitted one year prior. Additional work performed during previous ownership included replacement of the shocks, tie rods, rear suspension accumulators, power steering pump and low-pressure hose, steering shock, and rear brake rotors and pads.
The cabin is upholstered in Creme Beige MB-Tex (264) with matching carpets and plastics, and wood veneer accents the center stack and console. The September 2020 AutoCheck report shows no accidents or other damage and lists emissions testing and registration history in Oregon from February 1988 to to March 2018.
