This 1975 Datsun 280Z was reportedly purchased by the seller four years ago from the original owner in California. A refurbishment completed in 2018 included a repaint in mint green and the installation of replacement bumpers, suspension components, wheels, seats, and more. Power is from a fuel-injected 2.8L inline-six mated to a five-speed manual transmission. This 280Z is now offered with photos documenting the refurbishment and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The exterior was repainted from Emerald Green to mint green during the seller’s ownership. Exterior modifications include 240Z front and rear fiberglass bumpers, a Xenon urethane front splitter, and the welding of side molding holes. The car is fitted with replacement headlights, turn signals, parking lights, and side lamps.
15” Rota wheels wear Kumho Solus tires. Recent work reportedly included the installation of replacement front and rear brakes, suspension bushings, Eibach springs, and Tokico struts.
The interior is trimmed in black and features under-carpet sound deadening and bucket seats from a Mazda Miata. Replacement Kicker headrest speakers have been fitted to the seats, and the car is equipped with air conditioning, although the system is inoperable and has not been retrofitted for R134a refrigerant. The clock does not work.
An aftermarket Grant steering wheel fronts factory gauges that were reportedly removed and cleaned during the refurbishment. The car is equipped with a replacement blower fan, dash cap, center console, headliner, HVAC vents, and vacuum lines. The factory radio has been upgraded with an aftermarket amplifier that features Bluetooth connectivity. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 89k miles, and true mileage is unknown.
The fuel-injected 2.8L inline-six is said to have recently received a replacement fuel pump, injectors, and injector wiring. The five-speed manual transmission was sourced from a 1977 280Z, and recent maintenance reportedly included resurfacing the flywheel, along with the installation of a replacement clutch, slave cylinder, and braided lines. The car is equipped with a Motorsport Auto exhaust system.
