This 1962 Lancia Flavia coupe was designed by Pininfarina and is finished in Grigio Doncaster over a red leather interior. Power comes from a factory-replaced 1.8-liter flat-four used in the 1964 model and is delivered to the front wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The seller reportedly acquired the car from the original owners in Campo Ligure, Italy in March 2018. Maintenance under the seller’s ownership included cleaning the fuel system and adjusting the carburetor. This Pininfarina Flavia coupe is now offered in the United Kingdom with a Certificato di Origine from Lancia Classiche, Italian Ministry of Transport documents, Italian service records, and DVLA registration.
The exterior is finished in Grigio Doncaster. The paintwork and trim is shown in the gallery below, including blemishes in the paint as well as rust on the chrome headlight surrounds and bumpers.
15″ steel wheels wear Lancia-stamped chrome covers and are mounted with 165/80 Hankook Optimo K715 tires. Photos in the gallery show blemishes to the removable chrome surrounds fitted to the wheels. A reconditioned brake master cylinder has been fitted.
A walk-around video with the engine running is provided above and includes footage of the car driving away.
The Pella Rossa interior features red leather seats with color-matching door cards over gray flooring. The seller notes that the interior door trim is stained and that the windshield washer does not function.
A wood-rimmed steering wheel shows the Lancia flag logo in the center and fronts a wood-trimmed dash with a black cover. Instrumentation includes a horizontal 200-km/h speedometer and a tachometer with a 5,600-rpm redline. The five-digit odometer shows less than 16k kilometers (~9,700 miles), although true mileage is unknown. Approximately 1k kilometers have been added during the seller’s ownership.
In 1964 the factory replaced the car’s original engine with a then-current 1.8-liter 815.300 flat-four, according to accompanying documentation. During the seller’s ownership the fuel tank was removed, cleaned, and re-coated, and an electric fuel pump was fitted along with a replacement Malpassi fuel-pressure regulator with a built-in filter. The carburetors were also adjusted, and the seller notes that the strap for the battery is not present.
Power is sent to the front wheels through a four-speed manual gearbox. Additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery below.
The Italian Ministry of Transport document above indicates that a 1.8-liter 815.300 flat-four engine was installed in May 1964, which replaced the original 1.5-liter 815.100 flat-four. More pages from the Carta di Circolazione are shown in the gallery.
The Certificato di Origine from Lancia Classiche shows that this car was built in November 1962 finished in its current color scheme. An in-car driving video is below.
